Wen hair care product review

UNIVERSAL CITY, CA - DECEMBER 16: Chaz Dean, ...UNIVERSAL CITY, CA - DECEMBER 16: Chaz Dean, hairstylist arrives at the The Gibson Amphitheatre At Universal City Walk where she performed in aid of The Trevor Project on December 16, 2010 in Universal City, California. Wen hair care products is a line of hair conditioning cleansers promoted on television via infomercial by Chaz Dean, a celebrity hair stylist. This product review covers what you get in your Wen Hair Care System kit, how much it costs, pros, cons and the bottom line.

What do you get?
Wen Cleansing Conditioner
Wen Styling Creme
Wen Re-Moist Intensive Hair Repair Mask
Wen Texture Balm (Bonus item)
Wen Wide Tooth Shower Comb (Bonus item)

How much does the kit cost?
Your 30 day Introductory kit with the two free bonus items costs $29.95 plus shipping and handling

What does it claim to do?
The claims are that after one use of the Wen Cleansing conditioner your hair will transform. What makes the Wen hair care product line unique is that it cleanses the hair without lathering, but massaged into the scalp, left on for the rest of the users shower and then gently rinsed away revealing healthier, shinier more manageable hair.

Pros
Wen offers a 60 day money back (less shipping and handling) guarantee if you are not satisfied with your purchase even if the containers are empty.
Wen has a fresh Almond mint smell and does cleanse the hair without lathering

Cons
Although Wen offers a money back guarantee, you must make sure to keep the shipping container it came in. If it is not in the original package it will not be accepted.
Wen requires that the customer call their customer service prior to returning to have a return authorization number. Returns must be post marked with 7 days of the return authorization number. If it is later it will not be accepted. The return authorization number must be legible and clearly written, if it isn't it will be refused.

Wen does not last the full month if used according to the instructions included with the packaging. The packaging calls for between 12-15 pumps of the cleansing product per use. As stated on the Wen website, the more you use, and the longer you use it, the better the results. Wen Cleansing Conditioner lasted less than two weeks washing hair every two days.

Wen automatically sets up repeat shipments at the time of purchase, even though this is not mentioned clearly in the television infomercial. People wishing to try Wen may be shocked to learn their credit card used to purchase the introductory kit will be charged again in one month.
For those seeking further information on this see: Wen Hair Care Complaint Board before you decide on purchasing this product.

Bottom line:
After using for two weeks, it was observed that Wen does not work any better at conditioning the hair than traditional methods when using shampoo and a good quality conditioner. Results were not impressive enough to justify the introductory kit cost. Coupled with the fact the product did not last the entire month, and did not yield any noticeable difference in hair shine, manageability or condition, it is the opinion of the reviewer of this product that Wen is simply not worth the price or the hassle of returning the product. It is therefore not recommended by the reviewer/tester of the product.

Wolfgang Puck electric skillet product review

Wolfgang Puck's 1500 watt electric skillet has some real advantages. This product is currently offered from online from the Home Shopping Network. While many electric skillets seem to have a short life, ie: coating peeling off, and the handles breaking, this skillet is heavy duty and has a few innovative clever design elements that make it possibly a good fit for your family.

What you get:

 Powered base
Extra-deep cooking vessel, see measurements below
 Roasting rack
High-domed lid, you can easily accommodate a whole chicken under this domed lid
 Temperature-control probe with AC cord
 Use and care manual/recipe book

Product features:

 1.  Adjustable steam vent - open for browning; set to closed position when baking.
 2. Pan-tilt lever - allows the fat and juices to drain away from the food for crisp, low-fat cooking; makes it easier to baste foods and to serve sauces or gravy
 3. Unique drip lip - for easy pouring
 4. Wire rack  - for steaming or roasting foods
 5. Detachable control probe with trigger release - removes easily for cleaning of vessel and base Measures approx. 21.5"L x 14.5"W x 11.62"H
 6. Made of steel, plastic and cast aluminum
 7. Cooking vessel and base are dishwasher safe; hand wash lid; wipe cooking probe with damp cloth only

 8.Warranty offered- Comes with a manufacturer's 1-year limited warranty

Pros
Price:$ 89.90 right now, if you order this product you can have the payments divided into several to make owning this really affordable. HSN currently is offering free shipping on this product as well with guaranteed Christmas delivery.
Large cooking vessel- Can accommodate a large family of 4 and more.
Easy to clean- Because the cooking vessel detaches from the base it is super easy to place into a dishwasher for cleaning.
Non stick coating- This coating is holding up beautifully after many uses and stands up to super hot dishwasher settings.
Adjustable steam vent- This  allows you to control more precisely how much steam to keep in or let out while cooking with the lid on.
Even heating- This pan has not "cold spots" or uneven heat distribution. If you place six burgers in the pan, all six brown at basically the same time, no matter how they are arranged.
Super deep- This pan can easily hold a roast, whole chicken or large ham. It has a super high domed lid and this makes it a great kitchen tool.
Base is dishwasher safe- This is a great improvement and not always seen in other models of similar design that do not recommend placing the base in the dishwasher.

Cons
Price- $89.90. This electric skillet is higher than most of it's competition, however it is of superior quality overall.
Maybe too large- If your family is less than four you may find this pan is too big.
Dome not for dishwasher-It is not recommended that you place the domed lid in the dishwasher, although the product did not show any damage from the dishwasher at the time of this review, after several washes in dishwasher.
Pan wobbles- Removable vessel can not sit flat. If you take the pan out of its base it will not sit flush on your stove top or counter top, not that you should put it on your counter top hot.
The plastic trigger releases- This pan comes with two release mechanisms that allow you to remove the corded plug  that inserts into the base, and another trigger that detaches the pan itself from the heating element base. The plastic trigger on the insert able corded plug juts out and seems vulnerable to breaking at some point. I don't think this was a necessary feature at all. The trigger that detaches the pan from the base is also plastic looking and just seems unnecessary. The pan typically is not removed during cooking, and could have just simply been lifted out when time to wash without this particular clumsy feature.

The bottom line:
Wolfgang Puck's 1500 watt electric skillet is large, heavy duty, and holds up to a lot of use and the dishwasher. It is therefore highly recommended by the reviewer at this time, however updates will be posted as the product continues to be tested.

Review of Fondue sweater tunic by denim 24/7®

Jacquard trim at the shoulder, yoke and sleeves. Wide rounded V-neck; about 32'.

  • Acrylic/jersey.
  • Machine wash.
  • Imported.
  • Sizes:M-4x
Star rating:
4out of 5
Chest Size: Feels true to size

Sleeve Length: Feels true to length

Pros: Warm, Comfortable

Price:  $39.99 - $44.99

Cons: Could be a little longer

Best Uses: Cold Weather, Casual Wear, Travel, Work

The Bottom Line:
This sweater is attractive, but seems much longer in the pictures than it was on me. It is a mystery why a plus sized online store uses thin models to display their clothing, when plus sized women are their target market. Most of the time the clothes will fall differently on the model than it will on a larger woman, especially with regards to length. Product Dudz therefore rates this product as: Not great, not bad, Just OK>

This particular sweater is no longer being sold as the "Fondue Sweater" on the site, however, a comparable sweater of exact design is and if you want to check it out for yourself, see: Plus Size Fair Isle Sweater.

My Review of Cold Shoulder Sweater

So Thin You Could Spit Through It

Cotton acrylic. Machine wash. Imported.
Plus size sweaters, tunics - cold shoulder sweater, sizes M to 4X

3out of 5
Chest Size: Feels true to size
Sleeve Length: Feels true to length
Pros: Stylish, Comfortable
Cons: Poor Quality, Thin Fabric
Best Uses: Wear warm weather
Describe Yourself: Stylish, Classic, Practical, Comfort-oriented
This shirt is not worth it's price. I was very anxious to see this and wear it for my Christmas eve party. Needless to say I won't be wearing it, it is as thin or even thinner than a t-shirt and is not well suited for cold weather at all. I probably would not recommend anyone buy this unless they are only wearing it during warm weather, or they don't mind what I feel is an exorbitant price. Oh, and FYI, there are no Rhinestone embellishments on this tunic as the ad indicates, only metal flat studs most of which are not silver and shiny but bronzy.

Bottom line:
Even though this particular sweater is not warm, or of the best  quality, the online store One Stop Plus is a very good and reputable company. I have been shopping with them for several years and overall rate them a four star retailer of nice and fashionable clothing.
Where to buy:
